Memorial Wall & Garden
Grace’s Memorial Wall and Garden is a consecrated resting place located on the south face of the church. This was designed, with the help of Cutler-Anderson Architects and Larson-Casteel Landscape Architects, to be a continuation of the spiritual life beginning with the baptismal font at the front entrance.
The wall houses 192 niches. Moss green, honed granite clads the Memorial Wall’s structure with a personalized bronze front as the face of each niche. The Memorial Wall includes four rows of niches in a stair-step formation, such that flowers or commemorative items may be placed directly in front of each niche.
The Memorial Garden is designed to provide a tranquil space to support the Memorial Wall and also a garden room for meditative space. The plantings have been selected to reflect a sense of peace and also blend with Northwest gardens. The fountain and benches will help provide tranquility.
Those who wish to donate memorials for their loved ones may select from an approved list of plantings, garden art, sculptures or benches. A record of memorials will be kept.
