Foundations Class for Adults & TeensBreak-off Teen & Parent Discussion Option for Confirmation We are in a moment where having a firm foundation may be essential. Being grounded in our values and beliefs protects us from anxiety, postures us towards hope, and emboldens us with courage. Being rooted in the presence and power of God’s Spirit enables us to flourish, even when things are tough and distressing. Our faith matters; tending to our own spiritual growth and development is key to our well-being. This season, in addition to Sunday worship, we have several opportunities to feed our souls. The Wednesday Gathering is a place for thoughtful conversation on the Biblical texts for the week, healing prayer, and Eucharist. Each Thursday at 5:00 p.m. you can sit with others for Meditation and Centering Prayer. Beginning February 3, on Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. you can join others for Coffee & a Psalm — conversation on Eugene Peterson’s reflections on the Psalms. Finally, Kim Cockroft and I are developing a course during Lent focused on “How Then Should We Live?” Be on the lookout for more info on that. Beginning February 9, after the 9:30 a.m. service, I will also be offering a Foundations Class. It is designed for those who want a deeper understanding of the Episcopal Church and my particular take on Christianity. If you are new to Grace, curious about the Episcopal tradition, a teenager or adult who wants to be confirmed, or have been around Grace a while and want a refresher — this class is for you. It’s a new members class, a confirmation class, and a spiritual repast combined. – Rev. Eric Mason For more infomation visit:

A Book and Chat Group for ParentsBegins March 10 at 7:00 p.m. What if it’s our job as parents to help our kids get to know God and discover that God can be trusted? What if faith is not constructed brick by brick, but rather woven strand by strand? We'll be discussing Woven: Nurturing a Faith Your Kid Doesn’t Have to Heal From, by Meredith Miller. We will meet on the second Monday of each month at Kim Cockroft's home. Details and RSVP – kim@gracehere.org. For more infomation visit:

Children, Youth and Family Ministries
When you arrive for the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service, please bring your children with you into the sanctuary; and feel free to sit by the altar near the Children’s Rug so your children can engage with others in quiet activities. After the Children’s Moment, they will be guided by their teachers to two learning spaces: one for younger children with more tactile storytelling and activities, and one for older children. Together, we build community through story, ritual, and fun activities before your children join you again for communion in the sanctuary. Youth are always welcome to join us as helpers for the younger children! For more infomation visit:

“Resettlement With Grace”
As you may be aware, for the past 22 months several Grace members have continued to pursue the sponsorship of 15 Afghan refugees through Welcome Corps. We were aware it would be a long and uncertain process when we started. However, an Executive Order issued this week is most consequential for these families. Much of the work of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program of the State Department and the processing of all Welcome Corps Private Sponsorship Group applications are now “suspended.” If you would like to send a letter to your federal representatives, please contact Kathy Deasy. |
Newcomers’ LunchSunday, March 9 If you are new to Grace, you are invited to the Newcomers luncheon following the 9:30 service in the living room, located at the end of the classroom hallway. Rev. Eric Mason and other parish leaders will be there to answer questions and welcome you to our community. If you missed any of the former Newcomer Luncheons and would like to attend, please come. Childcare will be provided. See you there! Please RSVP to Liz Powell. For more infomation visit:

“FOR THE BIRDS” CONCERTFriday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Grace Church Live music, images, and poetry invite reflection on our changing climate. For the Birds features a jazz quintet performing the original music of Seattle pianist and composer Nelda Swiggett. But this is not just a concert. The performance engages the power of artistic expression — live music, spoken words, images and poetry — to connect audiences deeply and emotionally to the scientific realities of climate change. Ultimately this is a story of hope, and audiences leave the performance feeling empowered to take meaningful action. Why birds? Birds are a part of our daily life experience, and an inspiring connection to the natural world. But climate change is having a significant and alarming impact on many bird species, and this should be a wake-up call for all of us. Hosted by the Earth and Spirit Ministry of Grace Suggested Donation $10 - $20 / Students $5 Find more information and purchase tickets at ForTheBirdsGrace.eventbrite.com. For more infomation visit:
