We encourage you to apply for a project grant.

We seek projects that support Kitsap County youth to further climate justice in Kitsap County. Grants for 2025 will range from $500 to $1,500. Different communities have different needs. Examples of possible projects could be:
- Enhancing climate awareness by encouraging students take their home carbon footprint as part of their school curriculum and then exploring how to reduce it before they graduate.
- Working together to determine your school carbon footprint and then looking for ways to reduce it.
- Developing materials to educate students and the community about the likely effects of climate change here and how to prepare for them.
- Researching specific ways that you can restore or adapt our Kitsap ecosystem to climate change.
- Identifying communities in our county that are more vulnerable to climate change and considering how best to protect them.
- Determining an unmet climate justice need in your community and how best to address it.
- Securing further climate justice education by participating in trainings such as Climate Reality Project.
- Create a climate education project in your school.
- Creating a network of all concerned climate justice youth and their teachers or adult supporters in Kitsap County.
