A Conversation led by Shannon Moore, MD MPH FAAHPM
Consultant/Educator in Palliative Medicine and leadership

The journey toward death need not be a medicalized one. Yet, with all the advancements in medicine these days, how can you assess when you or a loved one are in those “last days and hours” of life? In this phase of life, it is often more graceful to “listen” to the body’s wisdom, rather than soldier on toward the next treatment. Many of us have been or will be caregivers. Understanding the body’s natural trajectory, “fearfully and wonderfully made,” may help guide us in these challenging times.

Bring your questions and your own wisdom to share as we gather to discuss our lives and our deaths. Shannon will start the conversation with an overview of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual changes commonly seen, and then open the meeting for questions and sharing.

EVERYONE is welcome! You do not need to be a caregiver to attend. For questions, contact Florrie Munat.
