If you are new to Grace and curious about the Episcopal tradition, a teenager or adult who wants to be confirmed, or you have been around Grace a while and want a refresher, join Rev. Eric and Kim Cockroft after the 9:30 a.m. service. It’s a new members class, a confirmation class, and a spiritual repast combined.

March 11 – April 8 from 6:15 – 8:30 p.m.

We live in a time of seismic shifts: the rise of social media, astounding technological advances, sociopolitical disruptions, global migration, and rapid societal change. As people of faith, how do we take it all in? As systems we once knew and trusted transform for better and worse, what would Jesus have to say? Where is God in the midst of it? How then shall we live?

Join us this Lent at Grace as we consider this question and what it means to be both citizens of our country and the Kingdom of God. We will gather Tuesday evenings at 6:15 for soup & supper. From 7 – 8:15 pm we will discuss What is God’s Kingdom and What Does Citizenship Look Like? by Mennonite pastor, Cesar Garcia. We will close with Evening Vespers.

Seattle Mennonite Church Pastor Megan Ramer will be our guest speaker on March 18.

The book and a reading schedule will be available in the narthex beginning this Sunday for a suggested donation of $12.00.

Please join us for the 2025 Annual Meeting. We will:

• Review 2024 using the Annual Report
• Vote for new Vestry members, and delegates and alternatives to the 2025 Diocesan Convention
• Vote on the proposed 2025 Budget
• Thank our lay leaders and staff

All members are encouraged to attend in person or via Zoom so that we reach our quorum of 50 members. If you have attended Grace three times in the last year and participated in Eucharist then you are a member! If you have questions, please reach out to the Rev. Eric Mason or Grace’s Wardens, Heather Paar and Tom Ringo.

There is no prep needed for this group — just show up! We'll be exploring one Psalm every session using Eugene Peterson's Psalms: Prayers of the Heart. Together we'll explore how the Psalms open our conversation with God in new ways.

This Web of Life Gathering will be hosted by the Bainbridge Island North Kitsap Interfaith Climate Circle.

Our guest speaker Michael Pilarski, founder of the Global Earth Repair Foundation, has been studying the role of microorganisms and fungi in ecosystems for 40 years, farming organically for over 50 years, and teaching permaculture since 1981.

Support PeaceTrees Vietnam in Navigating the U.S. State Department’s Halt on Mine-Clearing Programs

On January 25th, the State Department paused funding for Weapons Removal and Abatement (WRA) as a result of the President’s Executive Order regarding U.S. foreign aid. The lifesaving de-mining work has been put on hold, leaving hundreds of mines still buried and undetected.

Please make a donation to support PeaceTrees’s EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) technicians, ensuring that they can meet basic needs until they are allowed to return to the field. They’ve made Vietnam safer by the work they’ve undertaken for the past 30 years — let’s stand with them now. Click here to learn more and make a donation.

The Agate Pass Threshold Choir, one of more than 200 Threshold Choirs worldwide, will offer an hour of calming songs, beautiful harmonies, and inspiring stories that uplift the human spirit and create moments of grace during difficult times.

Take your mind away from the troubles of the world as gentle voices sing simple, meditative songs to relax and replenish your spirit. Learn how Threshold singers provide comfort to those in pain or at the end of life and how you can request their presence for a friend or loved one.

A reception follows this free event. Donations are welcome.

As we prepare for Lent, Holy Week, and the joy of Easter, join your Grace family in Walker Hall to share an evening of pancakes and fun. The Men of Grace will be serving a feast of buttermilk pancakes, gluten-free pancakes, sausage, vegetarian sausage, and applesauce. Suggested donation is $5 per person or $15 per family. You are invited to dress festively and bring a friend. Think Mardi Gras.

We'll be discussing Woven: Nurturing a Faith Your Kid Doesn’t Have to Heal From, by Meredith Miller.

Live music, images, and poetry invite reflection on our changing climate.

For the Birds features a jazz quintet performing the original music of Seattle pianist and composer Nelda Swiggett. But this is not just a concert. The performance engages the power of artistic expression — live music, spoken words, images and poetry — to connect audiences deeply and emotionally to the scientific realities of climate change. Ultimately this is a story of hope, and audiences leave the performance feeling empowered to take meaningful action.

Why birds? Birds are a part of our daily life experience, and an inspiring connection to the natural world. But climate change is having a significant and alarming impact on many bird species, and this should be a wake-up call for all of us.

Experience the ancient art of “writing” the Gospel with paint and prayer. Join this five-day, all-inclusive day retreat, led by renowned iconographer, Theresa Harrison. Using JoSonja acrylic paints and 23 carat gold leaf, paint an icon of your choice together in sacred community at Grace Church.

We begin each morning with prayers and Eucharist and spend the day in quiet meditation. Icon writing suits all abilities ­— no previous experience is necessary, yet those who have artistic experience find the process compelling. Wednesday, February 19,  10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial Association, the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, and Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District, for a day of stewardship to remember the 82nd anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066.

Volunteers will help care for the grounds of this important Bainbridge Island park, including pruning vegetation, removing weeds, spreading mulch, and cleaning outdoor art features.  

All tools are provided. This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for all ages.
